Friday night results

let me start by saying i didnt get anything done last night. i stared at fabric to try and put together the back for the quilt pictured below. after tooooo long, i gave up. i sat on the couch admitting defeat.....sigh....my night was a bust.

BUT, then i realized i had to stay up for curfew (no not mine LOL) so i started this little project.
(our hall closet)
this was a huge success. i began going through the JUNK in it and ended up with a completely cleaned out closet. room for some of my sewing stuff....pillows, fiber fill, pellon...and anything else i can fit in here. but the best part was yet to come.......
so while finding the bottom of the closet this morning, i came across these little hidden treasures!!! i had totally forgotten about them!!!!!!!!! 2 chenille bedspreads....... i want to cut up the white one and make a pillow with the flower portion. the mauve one.....dont know yet. its huge so i might cut it and use as a backing to a comfy couch size quilt. its in great shape. the white one is very worn on side.
I was lucky enough to aquire these chenille bedspreads a few years back at an auction in minnesota.....i think i paid 10bucks for a box of STUFF and these were both inside. i saw them sticking out, that is why i bought the box. i knew i would use them oneday....
remember to come back for our drawing tomorrow. remember, heidi and i both pick a winner for the FNSI giveaways.

Sorry about the sewing bust, but treasure is always good! The white one will make a great pillow, that's an excellent 'upcycling' plan.

Sometimes sewing is just about the ingredients right?
It's always good when you find hidden treasure like your gorgeous Chenille and now you have space to store your supplies. That would have to be Win and Win!
Thanks for hosting and have fun checking out what everyone got up to.
This time I hand sewed slowly, but I'm happy - Saturday I converted to a finish.

You may not have sat at the sewing machine, but you did get something done. :) That's gotta count.
