last night for FNSI i was able to sit down and sew alllll those 2inch white blocks on my 5inch squares. it doesnt sound look like much, but thats a J.O.B.
im going to make THIS quilt on Moda bakeshop. Road To Tennessee. i really really really love this quilt! I got up this morning and realized i needed (giggle) more fabric for the back and binding. so off to my LQS i went. i LOVE my LQS, Quiltique. After spending
anyhoo....as i was waiting for them to open this am, i decided to hop into goodwill. usually its a bust for me, but i had a good feeling today. well looky what i found! a new/used sewing room chair for me! its wood with rollers. i swear ive seen this in the pottery barn magazines. (thats what im telling my hubby who eye rolled me having another chair in that room!)
check out the price tag.....uh huh....that's right. $6.99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
here is my before chair. one that i recovered a few years back. no rollers, not a very big seat either.
MUCH MUCH better! I'm thinking it needs a larger pillow and maybe a cushion for my bum.
lastly.....i bought this at my LQS also. its a gift card holder. I'm putting this away for xmas. ill use it for that stocking stuffer gift of like an itunes card or something. i just thought it was so fun i had to share. after xmas it could even be used for a kids ipod. ??
did you all have fun last night and make some cute things??

You had a great FNSI and morning after.
WOW... what a lot of sewing... and all diagonal seams.
And what a great find at good will.
The little gift card holder is cute!
What a great thrift store find. I love your chair and what an awesome price. Hometown is one of my favorites too. I'm currently working on an apron and I'll be making the new Schnibbles Full House with this fabric line too. Oh and I also have a FQS kit for the quilt Picnic from the Scrapbasket Sensations book.
That's a lot of sewing! And I love your chair. What a find.
Great FNSI, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt. Congratulations, you've made a real find, the chair looks awesome and the price was even better.
Love your gift card holder, it's sooo... cute.
I love hometown but haven't made anything yet with mine. fNSI was fun. Can't wait to see your quilt come together.
Lots of sewing done there. Love your goodwill find and it's just crying out for a tie on cushion so you don't have a numb bum when you sew :).
Cheers,
Robyn
GREAT FIND!
Hey Norm! I used to love watching Cheers! I can't wait to see your quilt. It is such a cool pattern and your fabric is going to look awesome.

Yes it is a J.O.B.....lots accomplished :) and oh my gosh, what a good deal on the chair! I love finds like that. I am also participating in FNSI and look forward in watching your work!!!!
WOW Bobbi you sure were a busy lady stitching all your squares.
OH what a wonderful chair. Just love it.
Looks like you had a great FNSI! I'm smitten with the line Hometown too! I just bought a kit to make a table runner and can't wait to get my hands on some more. Unfortunately my LQS didn't buy this line. Are you kidding me???
That chair is awesome - I'm so jealous! I would definitely make or buy a cushion for my bum. Comfy cushions = longer sewing time! Your hometown blocks are going to be beautiful. I can't wait to see them in a quilt!
That quilt is going to be gorgeous!
And I love that the shop ppl know your name :)
Love your chair! Can't wati to see your Hometown quilt.
