GUESS WHOS BACK...back again....

i think thats an eminem song......
WOOHOO
welcome back grandpa favre. what a way to go out in style if he could bring home a superbowl ring for his last season....and as a VIKING!

so tonight i celebrated the coming of football by making some comfort food. all these years with kids and ive always made mac n cheese out of a box. pathetic i know.
i got this easy recipe from my mom and we grubbed on this tonight.......

and chili dogs....OH MY!

Mac n Cheese

4 cups uncooked pasta
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
4 cups milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp worcestershire
dash nutmeg

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup velveeta

Cook pasta as directed.
Melt butter and flour together. add milk slowly. (stir stir stir) add everything else but the cheeses. bring to a boil for 1-2mn. will thicken. add both cheeses and stir until it melts. add cooked pasta, mix well. pour into a greased pan. bake in oven uncovered 350 for 20-25mn.

that REALLY cant get much easier!!!
I cant wait for fall to get here so i can sew, eat bad food and watch football!

Mac & Cheese great comfort food, don't feel bad my kids grew up on box stuff too, but not the kind with the creamy cheese the kind with the powder cheese, LOL.

When I was pregnant with LM, I was always craving MacNCheese... the boxed stuff with the powder... good thing it is easy to make, I was so dang tired from growing a baby! : )

Yours looks super yummy! I'll have to try the "from scratch" one of these days... :)

My son thinks the only good kind of Mac n cheese is the boxed kind! Won't even try the other kind.

Yummm! We are huge Georgia Bulldog fans in this house! and we love "football" food! I make a spinach artichoke hot dip that is soooo wonderful and sooo bad for you! Love it!

GO FAVRE!!!! Ur.. um.. I mean VIKINGS!!!

I'm going to try this recipe. I make it from scratch on occasion - but with just butter, milk and valveeta (the universal food). And I just do it on the stove top.. quick and easy baby! But I know all your Mom's recipes rock - so I'm gonna give it a whirl. My family will love me!
